Nike's NSW subsidiary has been killing it with high quality product, top-notch collabs and a diverse selection that athletes and casual rockers can appreciate. With the Fall/Holiday '09 look-book leaking recently, we got to check out what's coming up for Nike Sportswear and what we need to be saving our pennies for. With an ongoing emphasis in creating sports product that embraces fashion, collaborations with Parra, Cassette Playa, Mark Ward and Grotesk will widen the brand's already expanding demographic making next season one of its strongest ever. THE BIZ! BRYON SHENG (ADIDAS)

Bryon Sheng is a man with a plan. From the age of 16 when he started at Foot Locker, he has always had his eye on the end game. In fact, He has literally spent his entire adult life in the footwear industry. Oddly enough, after we spoke with Bryon about his success at adidas with their Remix Division, he then left his job to become a partner at UndrCrwn. Impossible is Nothing? Ask Bryon...

HEDERUS FOR K-SWISS INTERVIEW

Julia Hederus is on a fast-track to fame and glory. She not only oozes talent out of her thimble, she also had the initative to propose a collaboration with K-Swiss to blow up her graduating collection from the famous Central St Martins college. Setting a new standard and direction in footwear design, Julia based her collection around the architectural structures of her menswear, which also incorporated influences from the humble Lego block. She gained immediate kudos not only from the industry itself, but also from the man of the hour, Mr Kanye West! We caught up with Julia to find out what a difference a year makes...

SNEAKERNESS RECAP

Sneakerness, the Zurich-based 'Lifestyle and Object' Sneaker event came to Switzerland's Schiffbau club this month with a comprehensive exhibition that encompassed all the best facets of street culture. From Nike iD stations, premium adidas product, sellers displaying and bartering their holy grails, street wear apparel for days and custom corners throughout the venue, it turned into the biggest street event Europe had ever seen. The highlight of the day was the chance to get up close and personal with the limited edition NikeiD Bespoke +41 x Grotesk AF1, created specifically for Sneakerness yet unfortunately not available for retail.

WAYNE HOLLOWAY INTERVIEW (ADIDAS HOUSE PARTY)

Director Wayne Holloway has built a reputation for leaving egos on the cutting-room floor with his direct and no frills approach. Having stacked up a Filofax full of celebrity-fuelled clips, he has now taken on his biggest task of all - gathering a house party full of high rollers to create the adidas Originals House Party series. With a knack for capturing the ‘real’ essence of an unreal world, we caught up with Wayne Holloway for a quick 'behind the scenes' chat as he puts the finishing touches on his House Party Hexology.

Ben Pruess is one charmed dude. A pro-snowboarder since the age of 16, he literally flew with the greatest of ease, before landing in the snow-biz in various roles. His claim to fame now is his lofty position at adidas as Vice Prez of Originals, which seems like a job for a pretty smart operator. Sit back as Ben fills in the gaps and reminds us all that art is art and business is business. Take heed young steeds!
